Welcome hondog to the BMX website........If your 49 you can ride any class you want..hahahahaha, kind of a perk about us old guys,,,hahahaha But seriously, we have 3 age group classes, 0-30, which has a novice-intermediate, and expert classification, the next group is an OPEN over 40 class, then the last is an OPEN 0-48 class. That's the one i ride and most of the smak talkers on here, its a great group of guys and you will enjoy the class. Usually there is someone at the gate by 6:00 -6:30am. Sign in usually opens at 7-ish, practice starts at 8am and races at 9am. Practice, you will get 2 separate practices for big bikes, you will be the first practice, then the other bike, 85, 65, and 50's practice each separately, and then it starts overt again for the second session of practice. Race order is posted and the 0-40, 0-48 class is always the first race, the class is usually double gated, which means, they wil drop the gate for the 0-40 riders, let them get a round a few corners, set the gate and then drop the 0-48 riders, us old guys like our own start..hahah so be ready,,,,,,,,,,,,hahahah. If you need anymore info , just ask....MP(aka pcrashdummy)....# 37

I'm going to try to make it out sunday. I've been racing cross country for the last 3 yrs. So i might look like a fish out of water on a motocross track. Which of the 3 different classes you talked about would be the easiest? Is there any particular number plate background color or number to run? Need all the help i can get!

No specific numbering or colored backgrounds needed, no memberships needed, just good old school mx at its best, you gonna LOVE the dirt and track........As far as the 'easiest goes", thats a good question.......I would say the 0-30 Novice, but you normally have the same guys that race the 0-40, 0-48 classes also race the 0-30 classes, most of the old guys run 2-3 classes....at BMX, when you sign up for one class, entry is 20 bucs, if you choose to run a second class, its only 10 bucs, so a few people run several classes, also its only 6 bucs per person to get in the gate, at our age I don't think any of it is easy, but I would say the 0-30 class is a little more laid back, believe dat !
One thing to remember as a new guy, there is an old man out there that goes by the name STEVO, runs under the # 7X, stay away from him, he is crazy they say, I wouldn't know, I try to avoid him.........LMAO,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

0-48 riders range from 10 to up to 15 riders in that class, 0-40 usually has the same amount and the 0-30 has 8-10 in the Novice class, 2-5 in the intermediate and usually 1-4 in the expert class, depends on the turnout, but you can bet the 0-48 class is always got plenty of racers in it..........the 0-48 class is a new class started this year and it has really been one of the biggest classes we have.......go figure, I guess there is still allot of us old geezers ready to ride............
PS- STAY AWAY FROM THE "HDT" (HONDA DREAM TEAM)......LMAO..
